Blackwater had and still has a bad reputation . Not all security contractors should be tared with the same brush . Mercenaries fight offensive battles ; security contractors protect things . Things like people or property . This is a free torrent site , not a soap box for peoples’ political views

“security contractor” is just another corporate buzzword meant to obfuscate and deflect attention from reality.
To be fair a lot of the “security contractors” were cooks and truck drivers and such from poor countries like Bangladesh.
You can pay them almost nothing and send them out on really dangerous work, like driving unarmored trucks in a country with IED’s seemingly everywhere.
When poor brown people get blown up you don’t have to report it as an American casualty you see. It’s a win-win for everyone, right?

I read Blackwater years ago, it will be good to hear from the other side. Although it is virtually a mercenary type sponsorship, I’m not convinced they are unpatriotic anti-Americans.
As for apnea, if I remember correctly, it was Hellary who ran on a pro-active international engagement platform. Outside of raising tariffs on Chinese imports, Trump has steered clear of unnecessary engagements, even in the face of an Obama subsidized aggressive Iran.
