p.s. quite deliberate - the development of our actual solar system - is an actual historical seqience of events, its not one of yer Grisham novels hehe wot!
Despite that some of his primary sources are mythological, this is a well-reasoned piece of research. You didn’t read any of it, you saw an upsetting summary in the 1950’s, unless i miss my guess :) Check ‘mankind in amnesia’ if ya wish to know why you’re scared to face it (an entirely understandable human response).

JustRandy is 100% correct.Velikovskys’ books are rubbish. For a good scientific look at Velikovsky read Carl Sagan’s book Broca’s Brain.

Isn’t this that cosmic pinball arcade guy? You know, where asteroids and planets and moons and stuff randomly fly around and in and out of the solar system without regard to Newtonian physics or common sense. Of course, a random asteroid 65 million years ago proves it’s all god’s honest truth. Oh, wait that can’t be right, the earth is only 9000 year old.

Its a theory. Just like any other. Carl Sagan or any one else and his ideas no more proven beyond doubt than Velikovsky. You have to print your certificate of ignorance yourself and wear it proudly. Alot of Velikovskys predictions have come to pass and are accepted now although no due credit was given.

Let’s establish two key points here.
1. Velikovsky threatened the material science extremeists (scientism), which even today still teach the sheeple that the material universe is a stand alone reality, and not (as Einstein, Newton, Tesla and every other open minded scientist) understand it to be - a subset of the superset of energy (the metaphysical). Those who do not question reductionist science are themselves reduced in thought. When Velikovsky was writing his books, not so long ago, mainstream science still taught that there was only one galaxy.
2. Carl Sagan sold out. A brilliant man, but we must never forget that central fact. Everything that Sagan wrote beyond that point in his life was tainted by the fact it adhered to what his puppet masters allowed him to say. Whether they had something on him (the Epstein Island method) or whether he was simply bought and paid for is not clear).
The bottom line is this. Some people’s minds are structured in a way that makes them simply trust the system, its institutions, and its authorities. And some people’s mind are free.
I was taught to question everything, and that means that I will keep an open mind to everything. I recommend reading Velikovsky with an open mind before you discount it, as the so-called ’scientists’ have done with every major scientific break through in history.
