Scholars suggest that the process of mass Islamisation took place much later, perhaps during the Mamluk period (13th-16th centuries).
For several centuries during the Ottoman period the population in Palestine declined & fluctuated between 150,000 & 250,000 inhabitants, and it was only in the 19th century that a rapid population growth began to occur.
The unfeasible burden is upon you to establish a prior claim to Judea/Israel by Arab Muslims. It’s utterly fatuous, but that’s your predicament. Ambiguously & expediently trying to claim/co-opt “Canaanites” for this purpose (based on bizarre internet skullershippe) is a ridiculous absurdity, so that can be immediately jettisoned.
