Ken Russell’s film does a surprisingly thorough job of covering the main points of this incredibly depressing story.
But the book still delivers a precious lesson in just how toxic religion gets once you start to take it seriously.

@caesar963 well said, one extreme doesn’t justify another, and communist atheism has claimed hundreds of millions under democide, aka death by government from disarming populations of their means of self defense. Atheism, and its close associates Communism and Statism, bear the hallmarks of a severe religion, with religious figures, accoutrements and rituals. The Government Scam and Larken Rose expose this well.
