“It’s not the years, it’s the mileage.”
Beware when you’re approached by strange Finnish types. No good can come of it.
The equivalent modern scenario of a British rogue nobleman being dared to do something by the so-called “most beautiful (ie, richest) woman in the world,” would be the pervy paedo prince Andrew being dared by Kimye on twatter to holiday in New York, during litty-gation season. Rather than hiding out on his mum’s vast estates.
Anytime you’re assembling a ragtag group of blueblood adventurers, it’s imperative 2 include an overweight, comedic foil; a veteran of such expeditions, who often observes that he’s “Too old for this sh!t!”; a love triangle replete with geometric sexual ten-shun; & a few enterprising but hapless redshirts. And you have to learn something fairly obvious & inane about yourself by the end.

Not bad ceaser, a bit heavy on the lethal weapon side but needs a black night & either colonel klink or Shultz to balance the stand up philosopher & the triangle should stick to the hypotenuse in case someone says I love you will only be answered with I Know.

Luckily, this story - like Raiders - already has a built-in “Ark” - although, Crystal Skull is, as all agree, the film that Raiders could have been.
(I’m thinking of casting harvey weinstein in the prince andrew role. But he might not be sleazy enough.)

Why would trying to find an “Ark” be any more foolish than, say, finding an exact spot in the Antarktis (see, there’s also ‘ark’ in the middle!). People who in their heart of hearts know they’re useless do weird things.

I don’t know the man, but when you say that most of his conclusions are right, do you simply mean that you agree with them? On an emotional level? Is he another relentlessly despondent sort?
You’re not suggesting that wayward aristocrats with oodles of tempus on their manus are “useless” are you?
And you really had to shoehorn “Ark” into “Antarktis” - major orthographic fail (I know you like collecting more obscure words from me, so u can have that 1 for free gratis).
A lot of important, intriguing research goes on in the Antarctic. In addition to climate studies, they’re trying to find out how fast their pee freezes before it hits the ice. You should really identify with that (number) one.
Also, there were 2 Arks - completely different propositions, Indy. You might try Tanis.
It remains to be established that you’re one of the “nice” Finns. They haven’t been discovered/studied yet.

Antarktis is a Finnish word for Antarctic, but never you mind. And I’ll just bet I know more obscure words than you do. Y’know, the whole of Finnish language.
What I meant about Linkola, he was a very dark personality, but he saw what was/is coming. His solution however for the coming Harmageddon would have been the annihilation of most of the humankind. So, not that philanthropic a fellow, he.

A lot of your obscure words would translate as - “It’s very cold,” & “I didn’t think it could get this cold,” or “Is the cat dead?”
What I don’t get is that Finno-Ugric isn’t Indo-European - at all. What’s up with that, Bertie?
