Hitler was Time magazine’s 1938 Man of the Year
Time is a left wing rag. Most of the left wing “news” outlets at the time supported Hitler’s rise to power.
His Party was called “National Socialist German Workers’ Party”. Shortened to Nazi Party

Time’s “Man of the Year” highlights people who are important, not people who are good. Though they chickened out of featuring bin Laden in 2001, who surely earned it.

The Nazi party were originally somewhat socialist but that was well before Hitler became its leader.
By 1933, the Nazis were definitely anti-left wing. They banned workers’ unions, shut down left wing newspapers and massacred communists. Indeed, the only party to show any backbone in resistance were the socialists.
Time Magazine was run by and dominated by Henry Luce, a lifelong (and powerful) Republican. Besides, Time was contemptuous of Hitler (man of the year for his influence), describing him as “sexless”, “cruel” , “shrieking” and a “gangster”.
I suspect Apollo couldn’t name many of these apparent “left wing “news” outlets” he so vividly recalls supporting Hitler.
But what else would you expect from someone to slow to realise they’re not smart?
