You can’t really understand the Federalist Papers without also reading the Anti-Federalist Papers. The Anti-Federalists weren’t evil and many of their ideas were incorporated into the Bill of Rights.

Not sure I would go that far, state’s rights are the root of most the issue polarizing the nation today.
They literally do nothing to improve our nation in any way. So while I can agree the anti-federalist weren’t evil, they were however wrong.

I do plan on putting up the Anti-Federalist Papers as well later on. I just had some other stuff I wanted to buy and listen to first.

@rmoor: thanks for letting us know that you plan to put up the Anti-Federalist papers as well. Looking forward to that.
Also, it was brilliant of the Federalists to corner the opposite side’s position into being “Anti-Federalist” as opposed to letting them define their own identity. The “Anti-Federalist” certainly did not seem themselves as anti-anything, but pro their point of view.

You can definitely spot a liberal from a mile away

Gotta love how the Neo-Nazi liberals think if people disagree with their way of life it’s threatening to their religious zealotry

@ connorolsonkenny -
eereader’s comment wasn’t in any way Neo-Nazi or contemporary liberal.
The Anti-Federalist Papers were written arguments against the ratification of the Constitution, and it’s centralized form of governance. The authors of these essays feared losing the freedoms they had just won by giving power to yet another Government over the individual. They also asked pertinent questions such as; Should slavery be permitted in a free nation?
He is right in that the Federal Government overreach has become contested in many States. Especially, the leftist laws and policies, erroneously derived from the Tenth Amendment, that have given the Feds unwarranted control. The intent of Constitution was to LIMIT the power of federal Government over the States. and of the individuals therein.
